Abstract

Abstract: Learning that tends to be conventional and the lack of use of media in mathematics bar chart material. This
study aims to develop a pop-up book learning media in the material of mathematics bar diagram for grade 4
elementary
school. The research method used is research and development with the Borg & Gall model using 4 stages, namely: the
data collection stage, the planning stage, the product development stage, and the validation and trial stages. The
instrument used was a media eligibility validation sheet, a student learning motivation questionnaire, and a student
response questionnaire. The validation results obtained from material experts 76.47% are valid and not revised
qualifications, media experts reach 98.46% qualifications are very valid and not revised. The small group learning
motivation questionnaire got a percentage of 78.5% in the High category. The limited group before the use of the media
got a percentage of 46.25% in the Medium category, after the use of the media got a percentage of 78.5% in the High
category. The results of the questionnaire responses of students' responses to the media in the small group got a
percentage of 86% in the very good category, the responses to the questionnaire responses of students in the limited group
got a percentage of 89.5% in the very good category. So, it can be concluded that the use of pop-up book media of
mathematics bar chart material that has been developed is feasible and can increase student motivation.
